There are many outdoor and adventure activities to do near Henderson, Nevada. Here are a few ideas:

 

Go hiking in the nearby Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, which offers a variety of trails for hikers of all levels.

 

Take a trip to Lake Mead National Recreation Area, which offers boating, fishing, and other water sports.

 

Visit the Hoover Dam, a modern marvel of engineering and a popular tourist attraction in the area.

 

Go rock climbing or bouldering at one of the many nearby climbing spots, such as Red Rock or Keyhole Canyon, and Mount Charleston.

 

Take a hot air balloon ride and enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.

 

Go horseback riding in the nearby desert or mountains.

 

Play a round of golf at one of the many championship golf courses in the area.

 

Take a tour of the Valley of Fire State Park, which is known for its beautiful red sandstone formations and ancient petroglyphs.

 

Go on a photo safari at the Lion Habitat Ranch, where you can see lions, tigers, and other exotic animals up close.

 

Try your luck at one of the casinos in Las Vegas, which is just a short drive from Henderson.

Red Rock Canyon of Nevada

Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is a stunning desert landscape located just outside of Henderson, Nevada. The conservation area is home to a variety of hiking and rock climbing routes that cater to different ability levels, making it an ideal destination for outdoor enthusiasts of all types.  There is a fee to gain access.

Mt Charleston Hiking & Sking

Mount Charleston, also known as Mount Charleston Peak, is a mountain range in Nevada, United States. It is located in the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area, about 35 miles northwest of Las Vegas. The mountain range has an elevation of 11,918 feet and is the eighth-highest peak in Nevada.

Lake Mead National Recreation Area

Lake Mead National Recreation Area is a National Park Service unit that encompasses the area around Lake Mead and Lake Mohave, which are located on the Colorado River in Arizona and Nevada, United States. The recreation area is located about 30 miles east of Las Vegas and includes both lakes, as well as the Hoover Dam.  There is a fee to gain access to Lake Mead National Park.

Keyhole Canyon Rock Climbing and Slot Canyon

Keyhole Canyon is located south of Boulder City headed towards Searchlight, NV.  Keyhole offers great hiking, amazing traditional rock climbing, a slot canyon, and tons of petroglyphs to discover.
